Kennedy and Coe has developed a world-class training program to assist you as a new associate in your transition to a career with our firm. During your first two years of employment, you can expect to attend the following week-long trainings:
New Hire Orientation Meet CEO, members, and managers. Training includes software, corporate and individual tax prep, firm orientation and expectations, and career transition discussion with your peers.
Mid-year Network with former classmates and staff from other offices. Obtain advanced software and technical training to include AMT, trusts, financial statements, and investments. Discover your dominant communication style and how to adjust it for your clients and coworkers.
Next June Network with peers and staff from other offices. Begin developing client consultation skills, team communication skills and networking skills. Learn how to make ethical decisions, and how to review tax returns and financial statements for new hires. Obtain advanced software and technical training.
Following June Network with peers and staff. Begin to develop supervisory, conflict resolution, project management, and business development skills. Learn about the dynamics of working with a family owned business. Advanced technical training includes retirement planning, S-corp, tax research for gifts and estates, and advanced partnership taxation.
As you advance in your career, you can expect training in the areas of supervision, action selling, value creation, advanced personalized technical training, relationship management, as well as annual tax and accounting and auditing updates. As you continue on to management-level positions, you will attend the firms Leadership Academy.
Training for administrative and para-professional staff includes various software and computer training. In addition, training is provided in the areas of organization, time management and communications.
