An avid runner and fitness enthusiast, Bob Schuster plans to compete in a major marathon every year. This past spring, he ran the BMO Vancouver British Columbia Marathon. In the fall of 2010 he completed Prairie Fire Half Marathon and the Heldesberg Napa Valley Marathon. He has built up his running skills by competing in 5, 8 and 10ks thoughout Kansas and says that crossing the finish line makes him feel on top of the world.

That's his weekend routine. On a typical weekday, he runs the Wichita and Topeka offices of Kennedy and Coe as the General Practice Leader. He says his work not only helps him accomplish his career and professional objectives, but more importantly, the personal and business goals of his clients.

Bob has a broad background of accounting expertise in strategic planning, income tax planning, corporate structuring/restructuring, family succession planning, and estate and trust planning. He specializes in the oil and gas, construction and agricultural industries. Bob joined the firm in August 1981 and became a member nine years later. He is also a member of the firm's Management Board and Technology Committee as well as the Managing Partners Roundtable of BDO Siedman.

Throughout his career at Kennedy and Coe, Bob says he's learned from some great minds and that has helped him to make a difference in the lives of his clients. He is also thankful to call some of his clients his "best friends".

While on vacation, Bob believes in seizing the day and would prefer to wake up to a beautiful sunrise on Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks. He enjoys water-skiing in the morning then watching his kids laugh and enjoy themselves. A good Kansas steak and a great Cabernet is the perfect end to the day.
