When Dixie Larson enters a competition, she does it big. Her lifelong commitment to physical fitness led her to enter her first marathon, the Nike San Francisco Run, where she raised $4000 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. That rush of adrenaline when she crossed the finish made her enter and complete the BMO Vancouver British Columbia marathon six months later and in the fall of 2010, Dixie ran the Prairie Fire Half Marathon along with the Heldesburg Napa Valley Marathon.
This level of commitment is no different when she walks - or runs - in the door of her office at Kennedy and Coe. As a Principal and the Director of Sales and Marketing for Kennedy and Coe, a position she's held since 2001, she says there is a rush of adrenaline when she interacts wth clients to help them accomplish their business goals. Dixie's day job is to manage the Sales and Marketing Group and direct the firm's management team on marketing, growth strategy and business development opportunities. Her expertise includes development of new niches and creative markets and to incorporate lateral thinking.
Dixie says Kennedy and Coe welcomes new ideas and continually challenges its employees, which means they are never bored. She is thankful to work with clients that ultimately lead to strong friendships, a trademark of the firm's staff-client relationship.
Not afraid of a challenge, Dixie made a commitment to train and climb one of the seven summits, Africa's Mount Kilimanjaro in the fall of 2012. Her favorite vacation ever was a drive along the west coast in the summer in a convertible, driving from California to Washington.
