One time, after serving as the best man in his friend’s wedding in Pittsburg, PA, Kevin Bearley and a buddy chose to jump on a plane and gamble the rest of the evening in Las Vegas. Kevin and his wife, Mia, have skydived and were also charged by a buffalo while visiting Yellowstone National Park. Though he has traveled spontaneously and vacationed on a whim, Kevin Bearley’s position with Kennedy and Coe, LLC is one of detailed research and careful planning. As director of the firm’s tax research department, Kevin coordinates tax and estate research projects, reviews estate and gift tax plans and returns, speaks at family business and tax conferences and resolves numerous IRS appeals level cases. Kevin has been with Kennedy and Coe since 1997 because, he says, of the opportunities to truly help clients and make a difference in both their livelihood and business. He believes clients look to the firm for advice in personal, family and company issues and that Kennedy and Coe "walks the walk" of becoming their business partner. Coming to work everyday gives Kevin freedom and flexibility to better the lives of his clients and that is worth the meticulous and tedious research required for their business transactions. Kevin and Mia have a daughter, Storm, who now keeps them grounded but the family still enjoys traveling to new and interesting places. His perfect vacation would include waking up on Christmas morning with exuberant decorations, skiing with family and friends then fly to Pittsburg to watch the Steelers play. An evening meal in Napa Valley and watching the sunset would complete Kevin’s perfect adventure.
