Corlene Lange ensures that businesses, foundations, and non-profit groups meet federal and state requirements, operate successfully, and make important changes to their organizations. In addition to overseeing audit and tax work, Corlene consults to dissolve partnerships, distribute assets, maximize working capital, and transfer business ownership.

She continuously looks for ways to improve organizations’ operations and tighten up their internal controls. Corlene consults on the processes and procedures that reduce errors and mitigate the risks of fraud, non-qualification as a non-profit entity, and non-compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Some of her recent achievements include:

  • Deciphering special tax rules and statutes enabling a service organization to maintain its non-profit status and advising on the best ways to reduce exposure to its foundation and real estate holdings.
  • Tailoring tax advice to businesses so owners can plan for and achieve their personal and business goals.

Corlene grew up in Mankato, Kansas. In high school, she took a liking to bookkeeping, studied accounting in college, and landed at the firm over 35 years ago. A steward to many organizations in rural Kansas, Corlene Lange works to keep local businesses and nonprofits thriving to benefit their communities.
