Kent Simpson, Principal, Pinion, LLC

As the functional leader of Pinion Accounting Services, Kent Simpson is responsible for ensuring that businesses — from an array of markets and industries — receive the accounting and financial information needed to make decisions.

Kent evaluates and connects clients with the appropriate level of accounting support they need, and ensures seamless access and usability of their data.  His depth of experience in accounting lends to his specialized ability to evaluate current business practices and make recommendations to implement more efficient ways of doing business.  Three key areas of efficiency include:

1. Outsourcing an entire accounting function.  Businesses benefit by being able to focus on what they are good at, while specialized advisors can help them understand what the financial information means and ideas to help them achieve their goals.

2. Broader financial assistance.  If a business has staff in place but they need additional oversight or help desk type support, Kent enlists proper support for their accounting team and ensures they receive the level of financial information they need.

3. Payroll and HR system support.  Kent connects businesses with payroll processing and training, as well as HR systems, through Pinion’s TalentPro services.

As a certified public accountant (CPA), Kent Simpson has worked closely with community-focused businesses, as well as agriculture and distribution industries.  He has a passion for proactively strategizing with businesses, and churning out ideas that can carry businesses healthily into the next year and the next generation.
