« Back to Glossary Index

A formal review of a company’s financial statements to provide the organization with limited comfort that their financial statements do not require modifications. Commonly prepared for entities that have bank loans, outside investors, or trade creditors, when these third parties do not require audited financial statements which are a more thorough and formal analysis. Only a CPA can provide an audit. A review is not an audit and no audit opinion is issued in a review.
