Jeff Baer works with business owners from all industries, but finds himself spending most of his time in the areas where he’s most passionate: beer, construction, rental real estate and agriculture. Many of his clients choose him as their advisor because he doesn’t seem like your “typical” CPA – Jeff is a genuine people-person with business savvy and an evident sense of humor.
A self-described entrepreneur masquerading as a CPA, Jeff knew he wanted to have his own business from the age of five. He opened his own firm after only three years of experience with other firms and grew it wisely for many years, finally guiding it into the K·Coe Isom family in July 2017.
Always the logical thinker, Jeff chose accounting because it was the only class in high school in which he received an A. Fortunately, he discovered a deep love for the profession; he gets to work with other entrepreneurs every day, helping them run their businesses and realize their dreams. He also thrives on accounting’s fast-changing topics and industries and the opportunity to work with so many different types of people.
Jeff’s favorite pastime is traveling; he loves to watch his kids’ faces light up when they see something new our great country has to offer. Jeff is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, cycling and running (he has completed a triathlon and half marathon so far, with plans to do a 100-mile bike ride and full marathon). In any other leisure time he is afforded, he takes his Trekkie status and Jeff Shaara novels quite seriously. Jeff is a passionate advocate for Williams Syndrome, a condition affecting one of his daughters, and hosts an annual walk and run with the help of his family and the firm. Jeff and his wife live in Jackson with their three daughters.
