Pinion Privacy Notice

Information for All Users

KCoe Isom, LLP (“KCoe Isom”) and Pinion, LLC (“Pinion”) practice as an alternative practice structure in accordance with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and applicable law, regulations, and professional standards. KCoe Isom is a licensed independent CPA firm that provides attest services to its clients, and Pinion and its subsidiary entities provide tax and business consulting services to their clients. Pinion and its subsidiary entities are not licensed CPA firms. The entities falling under the Pinion brand are independently owned and are not liable for the services provided by any other entity providing services under the Pinion brand.

Our use of the terms “our firm” and “we”, “our” and “us” and terms of similar import denote the alternative practice structure conducted by KCoe Isom and Pinion. This Policy applies to visitors to the www.pinionglobal.com  (collectively, the “Site”), except as otherwise noted. We value the privacy of individuals who use our websites and related services (collectively, our “Services”). This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share the information of users of our Services (“Users” or “you”). By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your information as described by this Privacy Notice. Personal Information. We gather Personal Information about you in order to respond to your requests and provide you with appropriate information about our products, services, and events.  For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means any information by which you can be identified, including name, date of birth, postal address, e-mail address, location IP address, government-issued identification number and telephone number.  In connection with the application of U.S. Data Protection Laws, this term shall be defined only as broadly as set forth in such laws to the extent applicable to the Site visitor or as otherwise provided in this Policy.

Events. If you register for an event that we host, whether in-person or online, we may collect relevant information such as your name, address, title, company, phone number, or email address, as well as specific information relevant to the event for which you are registering.

Payment Information. If you make a purchase through the Services, your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information, may be collected by our third-party payment processor on our behalf.

Job Applications. If you apply for a job with us, we may collect relevant information such as your name, phone number, email address, position, job history, education history, references, a cover letter, or similar information. Our privacy policy for employment applicants is included through a link at the Career page on the Site.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services

Device Information. We may collect information about the devices and software you use to access our Services, such as your IP address, web browser type, operating system version, device identifiers, or similar information.

Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we may collect data about your interactions with our Services. This includes information such as crash reports, session lengths and times, the pages or other content you view, and any searches you conduct on our site.

To protect your privacy, we may need to authenticate your identity before we respond to your rights request. We will verify your identity by requesting identifying information, such as your full name, address, phone number, email address, amount of your most recent payment, or account number. We will cross-reference the information provided with the data on file to ensure the details match. If you do not complete the verification process, we may be unable to process your request. Any information you provide to authenticate your identity will only be used to process your rights request and not for any other purpose. Please be aware that we do not accept or process rights requests submitted through other means.

We will respond to your rights request within 45 days, though in certain cases we may inform you that we will need up to another 45 days to act on your request. If we suspect fraudulent or malicious activity on or from your account, we will delay taking action on your request until we can appropriately verify your identity and the request as authentic. Also note that each of the rights are subject to certain exceptions.

We reserve the right to decline to process, or charge a reasonable fee for, requests from a US resident that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive.

Notice of Right to Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You have the right to limit some uses of Sensitive Personal Data. In general, you may direct companies not to use Sensitive Personal Data except as necessary to provide goods or services you have requested or other exempt purposes.

However, we only use Sensitive Personal Data for purposes that are exempt from this right, such as to provide you with goods or services you have requested, to detect and prevent security incidents, or verifying the quality of our goods and services. The full list of these exempt purposes is specified in California Code of Regulations, Title 11, Section 7027(m).

Children’s Data

We do not knowingly collect or use the Personal Information of children under 16. If you believe that we have collected the Personal Information of a child under 16, please contact us at Dataprivacy@pinionglobal.com.

Authorized Agent Requests

You may designate an authorized agent to make a rights request on your behalf. Your authorized agent may submit such a request by following the same method described above in the section titled Exercising Your Personal Data Rights. We may require verification of your authorized agent’s authority in addition to the information we require for verification of your identity.
